H.F.P. X iStandard Producers LA Showcase (9.15.14)

Last Monday, I had the honor and privilege to participate in the LA Edition of the iStandard Producer Showcase! For those not in the industry know, the iStandard Showcase gives up and coming producers the opportunity to play a set of their beats in front of an elite group of fellow producers and record label A&Rs.

This was an excellent experience and it was a release to finally get to preview some of the new-new we have been working on for over a year and half now to the public. Some of those new jams I played during my set you can hear in this short film.

Thank you to iStandard, thank you to Shawn Barron, Cardiak and Dawaun Parker for the words of wisdom and thank you to everyone who came to The Dragonfly to vibe out with a brotha! Soul Claps and Salutes.

Sunday Funday Award Tours: Eighty-Two (9.21.14)

Lapdances in the middle of an arcade... now that's a first. I haven't seen a chair pulled in the middle of a dancefloor like that since high school dances at The L. And the owner Noah making it rain soon after this was taken lol! Thank you as always Eighty-Two for another Sunday Funday Award Tour!

#LaborFriday... Soul Claps and Salutes and Thank You. That shit reminded me of the the same high school/college functions that made me fall in love with cold rocking parties. On Monday, September 15th,  I have been selected to have the honor and privilege to participate in the LA Edition of the iStandard Producer Showcase! For those not in the industry know, the iStandard Showcase gives up and coming producers the opportunity to play a set of their beats in front of an elite group of fellow producers and record label A&Rs. It's sort of a battle as well because all competitors will be judged for prize packages at the end of the night. That is why I am personally extending the invitation to you all to come out to The Dragonfly that night and vibe out to some brand new, unreleased H.F.P. jams!

4th Of July 2014 Tour: 94.7 The Wave @ Van Ness Park & Rad Cabin Events' Amurica!

Pretty busy 4th of July for HFP. First up was 94.7 The Wave's function at Van Ness Park where I opened up the day with some jams and even spun for a couple of the performing acts; one of those pictured below is Diamondz & Pearls.

Then it was off to Amurica! presented by the good folks at Rad Cabin Events. That rooftop was without question one of the best spots to view fireworks in all of Los Angeles. With all the live performances going, the whole scene reminded me of this Audioslave jam  Shouts out to Dive, Many of Odd Nature, and Nacosta for bringing the musical ruckus with me.

Recently opening this past March, EightyTwo is a new Arcade/Pinball Bar in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. This place is full with 40 arcade and pinball machines from the 1970s to the 1990s. Why not hit a couple of rounds of Mortal Kombat II with your friends or go up against the Galactic Empire in Atari’s Star Wars."
